Safety Thimble ” The Original” now available by TRE

TRE (Tactical Recovery Equipment), a company that designs, manufactures and sells off-road recovery products has been granted an exclusive license to manufacture Safety Thimbles originally designed by Blaine Johnson. The “Original” Safety Thimble

was first introduced many years ago to combat the issue of hooks, steel thimbles and often hands from being sucked into the winch through the fairlead causing damage to the operator and to the winch and fairlead.

The Safety Thimble product line will continue to be manufactured in 3 different sizes, with the Safety Thimble 2 being the most common application for Offroad and Jeep owners. The products were designed to be used with synthetic winch rope such as Amsteel Blue, Dyneema, Spectra and Spydura brands. The safety thimble is safe to use with all fairleads and winches and will not cause damage to your fairlead, unlike hooks and standard steel thimbles.

TRE will be offering the Safety Thimble product line along with other recovery products such as snatch blocks, shackles, winchline and other new products. All TRE designed products along with the Safety Thimbles are manufactured in the USA.
